Muslim students hold a “Gathering Against Hate”

The Muslim Student Association (MSA) held a demonstration of solidarity on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. after a threat found on a bathroom wall last Monday.

Approximately 1,000 students, administrators and community members gathered outside War Memorial Chapel on the Drillfield for “Standing in Solidarity: A Gathering Against Hate.”

Virginia Tech and Google partner to deliver Chipotle burritos by drone

A unique partnership between the Virginia Tech Mid-Atlantic Aviation Partnership, GoogleX’s Project Wing and Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. will soon deliver burritos by drone.

The project is part of a $75 million plan for intelligent infrastructure, funded  by the university and by private partnerships.

Making students feel at home: the first year of flexible housing

For the first time in Virginia Tech history, Housing and Residence Life is offering a gender-neutral housing option.

“We live in the 21st century. No one is really going to be upset that these two are rooming together,” said Paul Faust, a junior chemical engineering major. “You know who’s going to be upset by it? Parents and old people. That’s it.”
